A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a disc divided horizontally checky silver and blue above yellow superimposed by an in flight grasping three arrows in its right talon and an olive branch in its left all brown; and attached below, an arcing, triparted blue scroll inscribed "PURSUE, PERSIST, PREVAIL" in silver letters.
Oriental blue and silver gray (silver) are the colors associated with the Military Intelligence Corps. The disc represents the globe and alludes to the worldwide intelligence produced by the organization. The eagle symbolizes swiftness of mission accomplishment with the three arrows in its right talon stands for truth, justice and integrity, and the olive branch in its left talon indicates dedication to peace. The checkerboard stands for the ability to counter enemy plans. Yellow denotes excellence.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 7 July 1987.
